ACADEMIC AND ATHLETIC DISTINCTION

Since opening in 2001, Spain Park High School has captured 15 state athletic championships including the 2014 6A State Baseball Championship; the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Boys’ Golf State Championship; the 2012 Boys’ Indoor Track State Championship; and the 2004, 2009 and 2010 Girls’ Soccer State Championship. 

Spain Park High School has received the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award (U.S. Department of Education Secondary Schools Recognition Program) and the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse Award Winner.  

Our school has received the State of Alabama Attorney General’s Safe Schools Initiative Award (2008). In 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Spain Park High School was recognized by Newsweek as one of the “Top High Schools in the United States.”

In 2014 Spain Park High School was recognized by ACT for College and Career Readiness and ranked in the top five nationally.
