I thoroughly enjoy being a member of the administrative team at Spain Park High School. I worked in education for ten years prior to joining the Spain Park community. I am now in my second year serving as an assistant principal at SPHS. After graduating from Birmingham-Southern College, I taught math and coached two sports (baseball and basketball) at Homewood High School. During this time, I earned my Master's in Educational Leadership from UAB and my Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. After eight years at Homewood, I accepted an assistant principal position at Chelsea High School and served in that role for two years.
I am married to Heather Britnell, and we have twin boys, William and Joseph.
