Mrs. Bruce completed an undergraduate degree from Auburn University.  She earned a double major in Accounting and Finance.  Mrs. Bruce also earned a Master of Education degree from the University of West Georgia with a concentration in Business Education.

After receiving a double major in Accounting and Finance, Mrs. Bruce worked as an accountant and in the finance industry.  She decided she wanted to make a difference in peoples' lives which is why she went into education.  Mrs. Bruce taught at Bowdon High School for 5 years, Villa Rica High School for 1 year, Clay Chalkville Middle School for 1 year, and is currently at Hoover High School.

Mrs. Bruce has 5 daughters and a son, and is married to Hunter Bruce.  Mrs. Bruce was born and raised in Birmingham, AL.  She moved to Auburn, AL to attend Auburn University.  After graduation she moved with her family to Carrollton, GA where she resided for 9 years.  She moved to Birmingham, AL to get closer to family.  She is thankful to be back in Birmingham and thankful for the opportunity to teach in the Hoover City Schools.
